SOE Web Site: Overview

The School of Education web site consists of 3570 HTML pages, 8,812 files, 70,307 links and takes up about 600 MB of space. What do these pages and files say? They talk about the many wonderful programs we have; they tell school stories; they describe the many wonderful people that work at the school; they provide valuable information on what you need to get done; they are a resource for the whole SOE community.

Currently the School Web site spans 4 different servers. Each server has a specific function; 3 servers are for our dynamic resources while the 4th is for our static pages. Our site currently consists of a combination of dynamic and static content. Currently the main site is constructed and maintained in Dreamweaver. Our site search is provided by Google and you can search for anything at the bottom of each page, or by visiting the search page.

We are always trying out new ways of doing things or providing more services. Sometimes these new ways become part of what we do, sometimes they are not ready for prime time, and we keep watching them. If you have a suggestion on something we should try out, drop us a line and we can see if it fits the format and system that we currently have.

This part of the site is constructed to help bring meaning to everything. Here you will find information on what we offer, contact information, Web countent routes, policies and assistance resources. Maybe you would like to see something posted here. Learn more by choosing a link below, or one of the choices at the top.
