If you are interested in studying doctoral program in Education and Psychology and would like to schedule a visit, please contact the Combined Program in English and Education (CPEP) at cpep@umich.edu or call our main number 734-647-0626.

There is no set protocol for a visit with CPEP. You can meet the faculty, students, or staff to ask and get answers to your questions. To coordinate your visit, or inquire about other options or opportunities available, please contact the CPEP office at the contact number and address above.

If you are interested in studying in the Joint Ph.D. Program in English and Education and would like to schedule a visit, please contact Jeanie Mahoney Laubenthal (734-763-6643 or by e-mail through the web form), Anne Gere, or Lesley Rex ( rex@umich.edu) to schedule your visit.

A visit would include a meeting with the Chair, or faculty member of English and Education Ph.D. program as well as a meeting with some of the students in the program. It may also include a visit to the English Dept and they would meet with a faculty member who may be of interest to the student in the area of research.

If you are interested in pursuing a Master or Doctoral Degree in Higher Education or any of the concentrations please contact the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education (CSHPE) by e-mail at cshpe.info@umich.edu (feel free to use the online form) or by phone at (734) 764-9472 . Please schedule your visit in advance by contacting the Center.

A comprehensive visit consists of:

• a brief overview and tour of the Higher Education program and offices provided by the CSHPE graduate assistant
• meeting with one or two current CSHPE students
• sitting in on a class
• individual meeting with a faculty member

Visits are usually arranged based on 1) visiting student's convenience, and 2) availability of faculty and current students that can vary from term to term depending upon class schedules. Based upon a visitor's time constraints and level of interest not all of these opportunities may be pursued.

A visit can be requested by a prospective student for this program. Normally this request can be through the program's secretary or faculty member. However, we encourage prospective students to attend Graduate Information Day.

The site visit could include the following:

• Visit with the faculty
• Visit with OSS
• Visit with ES
• Visit with Grad Student
• Tour of the Building (usually done as the person is escorted from one office to another)
