Teachers for Tomorrow (TFT)
Are you willing to take the challenge of teaching high school or middle school?
Are you interested in working with culturally diverse students in urban and under-resourced schools?
Then you may be just right for Teachers for Tomorrow
Comprehensive and personalized training for students who want to work in urban and under-resourced secondary school
Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education
TFT provides:
- study groups, courses, and workshops that address the opportunities and challenges of working in urban and under-resourced schools
- multiple experiences working in urban and under-resourced schools
- individualized
mentoring from UM faculty and veteran teachers

- job placement support
Participants Earn:
- secondary teaching credential
- certificate for expertise with urban and under-resourced schools
- opportunities for scholarships
Timeline:
Timeline for TFT students (concurrent with regular Teacher Ed requirements)
First semester: study group
Second semester: required course (Eng. 317)
Third semester: individual mentoring and preparation for the job market.

As soon as you have been accepted into the School of Education, apply to Teachers for Tomorrow.
