The Trotter Multicultural Center invites applications for the position of Resident Staff.
We are looking for two (2) highly motivated graduate students to assist in the management of the facility in the evening hours and to provide programs for the University community.
Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2006.
Compensation
A stipend, room, limited budget for entrˇe plus and computer.

RESIDENT COORDENATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Assists with administrative, operational and programming responsibility in the University of MichiganÕs Multi Cultural Center. Serve as the liaison between faculty, students and staff The Resident staff directly reports to the facilities Director.
Time commitment 25 hours per week, other employment is permitted only with approval of the Trotter Director. Only graduate students
Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination of scheduling of all facilities for meetings, general usage and Trotter programs. This includes room arrangements and technical services and equipment.
Assist in the ongoing development of the system for maintaining the appropriate level of cleanliness, sanitation and positive physical appearance of all facilities.
Assure that all plans for events or programs are properly executed.
Work closely with the office of Multi Ethnic Student Affairs and assist the Trotter Program Manager in the development and coordination of all social, cultural and educational programs for the Multi Cultural Center.
Advise and assist students of color and their organization in the planning and production of programs.
Maintain a demeanor, which encourages and facilitates the continuous utilization of the Multi Cultural Center.
Supervise the student managers this includes but not limited to, monitoring the schedule, meeting with student managers, delegating work during the evening and weekend hours, writing weekend reports
Report to the Director any significant event or condition that may affect the facility, staff, student manager, resident staff, or individual student.
