Global Education Discussion Group (GEDG)

Through its activities, the School of Education's Global Education Discussion Group (GEDG) works to generate greater participation in global research opportunities and collaborations across national borders. We have two overarching goals:

  1. To build and support a community of individuals, within the School and across the university, who are interested in sharing ideas about, and experiences with, educational research that has a global focus. In operational terms, this means research that is focused on issues and settings beyond the United States.
  2. In conjunction with the School’s and university’s DEI missions, to heighten awareness of global perspectives and contexts as they relate to educational research and student learning.
