The UM School of Education has a long history of excellence in the area of curriculum development and instructional practice. In the School of Education, we offer several distinct program options related to school curriculum and instruction.
The programs offer opportunities for students to take courses with distinguished faculty who are known nationally and internationally for their scholarship related to school curriculum and instruction with attention to both the integrity of the subject matter and issues of equity and diversity. We offer MA and PhD options in several specific K-12 school subject areas:
Science, and Social Studies (MA only) .
Each of these programs features strong ties to corresponding subject matter departments at the University of Michigan.
In addition, we offer a broader, more general Masters degree specialization in Curriculum Development.
