- March 18: Each Tuesday, community members from SoE can join colleagues at Yost Arena's noontime public skating: http://www.umich.edu/~yostice/public_skate.htm All are welcome regardless of skill, grace, or the lack thereof. The cost is $2.00 for admission and $1.00 for skate rentals.

Take a fun and thought-provoking "voyage" in this unique cross-cultural simulation activity. - March 24: Deadline for proposals for the Ginsberg Center - Request for Faculty Proposals. The Ginsberg Center for Community Service and Learning invites proposals for teaching innovations and new research initiatives from University of Michigan faculty. The proposed projects should advance the Ginsberg mission to engage students, faculty, and community members in learning together through community service and civic participation in a diverse democratic society. Grants up to $10,000 are available to individual faculty members and projects should be completed by the end of June 2009.
