- February 12: Each Tuesday, community members from SoE can join colleagues at Yost Arena's noontime public skating

Dr. Dennis Sparks, author, columnist, and Emeritus Director of the National Staff Development Center, will be in attendance. Dr. Sparks is a major force in improving teaching and learning in classrooms, author of several books, columnist for the NSDS newsletter, and author of many articles published in Educational Leadership and The Kappan.
