- December 3: Dissertation Defense by Elena Jurasaite-Harbison on "Learning In and From Practice: Opportunities and Implications for Teachers, Informal Learning in Lithuania and the United States," 10:00 am, Brownlee (Room 2327).

- December 4: Each Tuesday, community members from SoE can join colleagues at Yost Arena's noontime public skating http:// www.umich.edu/~yostice/public_skate.htm. All are welcome regardless of skill, grace, or the lack thereof. The cost is $2.00 for admission and $1.00 for skate rentals.

However, there will be reference made to master's students who are enrolling on a part-time basis and need three, four and five years to finish.
