Topic: Equity, Equality, and Social Justice (What is the difference between equity and equality? What is the relationship of each of these ideas to social justice? - December 10: Teacher Education Initiative open meeting, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm, Whitney Auditorium (Room 1309). Members of the TEI Curriculum group will present and solicit feedback from others o n the draft set of "high-leverage" teaching practices that they have been developing during the past year. These high-leverage practices will eventually become the foundation of our redesigned teacher education program. During the meeting members of the TEI Steering Group will also launch the 2009 Request for Proposals and introduce a new way for faculty members and graduate students doing innovative work in teacher education to obtain resources and contribute to the work of the Initiative. Copies of the draft set of high-leverage practices will be available for review on the TEI's website and in hard copy outside Room 4119 until Friday, December 5th.
