History (CC) Major Minor Requirements

History Majors1 must complete a minimum of 30 credits, including the following:

• Education 432

• History 160 and 161

• Select one of the following two-course regional world history concentrations:

- East Asia: History 204 and 205 (formally 121/122)

- South and Southeast Asia: History 206 and 207 (formally 151/152)

- Africa: History 246 and 247; or

- Latin America: History 347 and 348

• Select one course in European history

• History 396 or 397

• History electives, as needed, to reach the minimum 30 required credits

• History 160 and 161

• Select one of the following two-course regional world history concentrations:

- East Asia: History 204 and 205; (formally 121/122)

• Select one course in European history

Candidates who entered the teacher certification program prior to Fall 2004 may consult major/minor requirements for those admitted prior to Fall 2004 by clicking here.
