Leading and Managing i3-Funded Projects: New Perspectives on the Practice of Educational Reform

With this project, Donald J. Peurach (principal investigator) aims to bring the perspectives of practicing educational reformers to bear on national-level conversations about the use of evidence in educational and social innovation. For three years, Peurach was a participant-observer in the i3 Learning Community, an effort co-sponsored by the William T. Grant Foundation and the Spencer Foundation to support recipients of federal Investing in Innovation grants (i3). This grant will support Peurach in using the i3 Learning Community as a lens through which to reflect on the use of rigorous methods of research and evaluation to structure and discipline the work of practicing reformers and innovators.
