Before coming to U-M:  Before coming to U-M, I was completing my undergraduate degree at Kent State University in Kent, OH, where I graduated in May 2011.

Why this program?  I chose to attend U-M because I wanted to attend a different university than my undergraduate institution that not only offered an environment for me to learn and explore, but would also be situated in a thriving academic setting. After conversing with faculty, staff, and students and visiting the School of Education, I knew that the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education could offer me this.

The best part of SOE:  During my time as a graduate student, I was impressed (and enjoyed being involved with) the seemingly endless student organizations/ways to get involved with things I enjoy outside of class. As a student, I had also felt supported in personal and professional endeavors by faculty and staff, who had exposed me to various opportunities for now and after graduation. I am also indebted to members of my cohort for nurturing some of the strongest moments of critical reflection I had while in Michigan, both in and out of class.

After graduation:  I currently live and work in Doha, Qatar at Texas A&M University Qatar campus as Program Coordinator for Leadership and Service. In this position, I am responsible for creating, planning, and implemednting all parts of co-curricular experiences offered by the Deparment of Student Affairs that focus on leadership and service, including multiple international programs, exchanges, and workshops beyond the classroom. My paticular interest is education are self-efficacy, development, and inter and cross cultural development.
