Meghan Oster, School of Education

Field of Study: Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, PhD - Research, Evaluation, and Assessment

Year in Program: 1st

Geographic Region: Russiaville, IN

Undergraduate: Western High School, DePauw University (undergraduate), Baylor University

Prior to UM: Prior to University of Michigan, I worked at Northern Virginia Community College in the Office of Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment as policy planning specialist. I worked directly with the Vice President of Institutional Research on college-wide policy issues.

The best part of SOE so far: The best part of the SOE so far is the collegial atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and willing to help at the drop of a hat!

After graduation: After I graduate, I plan to be a faculty member in a higher education program and then move into administration after some time. I also am considering returning to the community college sector after graduation.

Teach me something! If you have a dog, there is a great dog park on Ellsworth out in Ypsilanti. It is massive with lots of room for dogs to run. My dog loves it and would stay there all day if I let him.
