Natalie Oliner, School of Education

Field of Study:  MA in Higher Education

Year in Program/Year of Graduation:  graduated 2013

Where do you HAIL from?  Macon, GA

Prior degree(s):  Indiana University-Sociology and religious studies

Before coming to U-M:  Prior to coming to Michigan, I was an undergraduate at Indiana University and worked at the University's Office of Disability Services for Students.

Why this program? I chose U-M and CSHPE because of the program's flexibility in allowing students to pursue a specific concentration while also receiving a broad knowledge of the field of higher education. The welcoming and friendly nature of the faculty, staff, and students in the School of Education was also a key influence in my decision to come here.

After graduation:  Academic Counselor, University of Louisville

The best part of SOE:  Favorite places/activities: Zingerman's, Jerusalem Garden, Jolly Pumpkin, football games, concerts, the Himalayan Bazaar, and farmer's market. Advice: Take advantage of all the great resources and events on campus during your time as a student. There are a plethora of training opportunities, seminars, and programs that you will not want to miss out on!
