Claire is a PhD candidate in Learning Technologies. She received her Master's degree in Science Education from the University of Michigan in 2009.

"My PhD thesis will have this focus: Understanding how we can support students' science learning in a ubiquitous learning context. I have participated in this project since fall 2010, and have worked with elementary and middle school science teachers, and museum and science center educators. More than 10 trials have been implemented in different school environments and informal learning contexts."

Claire's research focuses on how mobile technology supports students' science learning an inquiry across different learning contexts. She is currently working with Dr. Chris Quintana on Zydeco project, a combined mobile and web-based learning system.
