R. Charles Dershimer named to state STEM advisory council

Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed R. Charles Dershimer to the 11-member MiSTEM Advisory Council, a group that will provide the governor, legislature, Department of Education, and Department of Talent and Economic Development with recommendations to improve and promote innovation and collaboration in STEM education and prepare students for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Secondary MAC alumni, students collaborate on presentations

With support from a grant from the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, several Secondary MAC students from the class of 2015 have worked with program alumni and Educational Studies faculty member Jeff Stanzler to prepare presentations that they will give next week at the Institute for Innovation in Education Conference.
