They have been chosen to receive the Amerian Association of Colleges for Teacher Education's 2011 Outstanding Journal of Teacher Education Article Award for their piece, "The Work of Teaching and the Challenge for Teacher Education," which was published in the November/December 2009 issue of the journal.

In this piece on the Huffington Post website, Ball briefly describes the cost of historical and contemporary battles in education before suggesting that we proceed differently. Deborah Ball talks about teacher education on call-in radio show

On November 12, Ball was a guest on the Patt Morrison radio show on Southern California Public Radio. She was on for about 15 minutes of the 30-minute segment and talked about what we know about providing effective education to young students and teacher preparation.
