Susan Dynarski comments on Fafsa tool suspension in NYT

Professor Susan Dynarski’s article in the New York Times, “A Fumble on a Key Fafsa Tool, and a Failure to Communicate,” addresses the recent disappearance of the Data Retrieval Tool from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (Fafsa) process. The suspension of the data tool came at a critical time in the financial aid cycle. Completing the Fafsa is now going to require more legwork, more paperwork and more time.

Susan Dynarski is Professor, School of Education; Professor of Public Policy, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy; Professor, Department of Economics, College of Literature, Science, and the Arts
