Nell K. Duke talks to NYT about using play in early education

A story in The New York Times, “Out of the Books in Kindergarten, and Into the Sandbox,” discusses the role of play alongside academics in kindergarten. In the story, Nell K. Duke points out that play doesn’t prohibit children from learning sophisticated academic concepts. “People think if you do one thing you can’t do the other.
