Liz Kolb quoted in article about education schools making tech a priority

Liz Kolb was recently quoted in an article on the Center for Digital Education website titled “Five Ed Schools Making Ed Tech a Top Priority.” The University of Michigan School of Education was one of the five schools recognized for advances in educational technology.

"Instead of having a quick avalanche of teaching with technology, they get a nice, slow marinate," according to Kolb. “The curriculum focuses more on big-picture application than on specific tools. We found that the teachers learned how to use tools quickly, but they didn't know what was an effective and ineffective use of the tools to meet learning goals.”
