In a story in Psychology Today, “Crisis U,” Julie Posselt was interviewed on competitiveness and college student mental health. In research with doctoral candidate Sarah Ketchen-Lipson, she finds “Perceived competitiveness increases by 40 percent the odds of positively screening for depression,” and “Students who reported that their classes were ‘very competitive’ had 70 percent higher odds of screening positive for anxiety.” Read the story here.
