At Detroit meeting, Deborah Ball offers update of Council for Educator Effectiveness progress

An article in the April 3, 2012, Detroit News reports on the previous day's public meeting at which members of the Michigan Council for Educator Effectiveness, including council member Deborah Loewenberg Ball, reported on the progress they've made towards developing evaluation tools for teachers, school administrators, and on developing instruments to measure student growth. Ball said that progress was being made and that "building a strong evaluation system is key to improving schools."

Deborah Loewenberg Ball is the William H. Payne Collegiate Chair, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor, and dean of the School of Education.
