The 2014 U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) rankings of graduate programs in education were released this week. Our programs continue to be identified as leading in their areas and we are again home to both top-ranked and second-ranked programs! Our academic areas that match USNWR categories are higher education administration (CSHPE), ranked 1st; secondary teacher education, ranked 2nd; educational psychology (CPEP), ranked 3rd; curriculum and instruction, ranked 6th; education policy, ranked 6th; and elementary teacher education, ranked 6th.

One particularly significant element of USNWR’s rankings is the peer assessment score. On this measure, we were tied for 3rd in the nation.

Our overall ranking, across all the indicators, including research funding, faculty-student ratio, and doctoral degrees granted, was 11th in the U.S.
