On Wednesday, April 25, 2013, TeachingWorks will sponsor the second of two special colloquia for the School of Education community. These colloquia are intended to provide an opportunity for all of us to learn more about some of the innovative activities taking place in our own teacher education programs. This second session will focus on performance assessments in the elementary teacher education program, and will feature Tim Boerst, clinical associate professor, and his colleagues. They will provide an overview of the performance assessments being developed and used in the SOE’s teacher education programs, including preliminary learning from assessments completed in the winter 2013 semester. The colloquium will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Whitney Room (room 1309/1315).

Participation in this colloquium is open to the entire SOE community. Light refreshments will be served. For questions about the colloquia series or suggestions for future presenters or topics, please contact Punita Dani Thurman.

Timothy Boerst is Clinical Professor
