TeachingWorks streaming seminar to be held on January 28

On Tuesday, January 28, 2014, TeachingWorks will host the next seminar in its year-long series on teacher preparation and effectiveness, “Teaching Teachers Roundtable: Preparing Novices to Use High-Leverage Practices.” This seminar, which will be held from 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. in the Whitney Auditorium (room 1309/1315) and streamed online, will feature Carla O'Connor, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor and associate dean for academic affairs, Debi Khasnabis, clinical assistant professor, and Orin Gutlerner, founding director of the MATCH Teacher Residency in Boston. The speakers will discuss how they prepare novice teachers to communicate effectively with students’ parents and caregivers. There will be ample time for discussion among the speakers as well as with audience members.
