  • Patricia Kenney, lecturer in Education Studies, will retire on Friday, August 31, 2012.
  • Charles Peters, clinical professor in Educational Studies and coleader of the Secondary Master of Arts with Certification program, retired on Thursday, May 31, 2012.
  • Addison Stone, professor and chair of Educational Studies, will retire on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. The University of Michigan Regents have conferred emeritus status to Addison.

It is our custom at the SOE to consult with people who are retiring or otherwise leaving the school to find out how they prefer to be celebrated. We will send details for those who want a school-wide reception. If you don’t hear about a celebration, then please know that we are honoring our retirees and others who are leaving based on their preferences.

Please join me in thanking Marie, Joanne, Pat, Charlie, and Addison for their tremendous contributions to the school and wish them well as they begin the next chapters of their lives.
