I am delighted to announce that four tenured faculty members have earned promotion to full professor, effective September 1: Tabbye Chavous, professor at the School of Education and associate dean for academic programs and initiatives at Rackham Graduate School; Anne Curzan, professor at the School of Education and in the Departments of English and Linguistics at the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, and cochair of the Joint Program in English and Education; Susan Dynarski, professor at the school of Education, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, and the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts; and Carla O’Connor, incoming associate dean for academic affairs and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor. This is a major milestone for these faculty members and represents their significant accomplishments across the domains of faculty work, including a substantial body of research, excellence in teaching, and professional service on the school and campus, as well as nationally and internationally. I am very proud of these three faculty members, who are each wonderful contributors to our community. Please join me in congratulating Tabbye, Anne, Sue, and Carla on their achievements and on reaching this important point in their respective careers!
