On Saturday, May 18, through Tuesday, May 21, 2013, the SOE’s Elementary Master of Arts with Certification (ELMAC) and Secondary Master of Arts with Certification (MAC) programs, in partnership with Oakland Schools, will host the 4T VirtualCon: Teachers Teaching Teachers about Technology. The 4T VirtualCon is an opportunity for educators from across the globe to connect, network, and learn from each other about issues in technology education. There are three themes for the conference this year: Teaching in the Cloud (web 2.0 focus), Bring Your Own Technology, and The One Computer Classroom—Do More with Less. Current ELMAC and MAC interns are assisting with the development of the conference.

The 4T VirtualCon will be held online and is free and open to all educators (registration is required). Most sessions will be targeted to K-12 practicing and preservice teachers. The preconference workshops will begin on Saturday, May 18, and the opening keynote will be on Sunday, May 19, at 8:00 p.m. The conference will continue through 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21. A full schedule is available online. All sessions will be live and archived. I hope you can participate in this innovative online conference.
