The September 2, 2011, Grand Opening of the Brandon Center for the Study of Education Practice was featured in print and online articles in the Michigan Daily and on the Emerging Technologies Librarian website. In the Michigan Daily article, Deborah Loewenberg Ball is is quoted about the advances the facilities offer for the study of teaching: “It will provide a set of resources (such as) records of class practice (and) records of student work that students and researchers can study,” Ball said. “It all happens really fast (in teaching). If you’re trying to watch what a good teacher does, it’s gone. Being able to start and stop (a tape) is really important.”

PF Anderson, the person behind the Emerging Technologies Librarian website, says that she "came for the technology...but while you might come for the tech, you'll stay for the comfort."

Deborah Loewenberg Ball is William H. Payne Collegiate Chair, Arthur F. Thurnau Professor, and dean of the School of Education.
