Conference to Celebrate 125 years of Teacher Education at the University of Michigan

4/11/05 - On June 6-7, 2005, the College of Literature Science and the Arts and the School of Education will be holding a conference celebrating 125 years of teacher education at the University of Michigan. Supported by funds from the Provost’s Office, the conference is free and open to the public. All conference sessions will take place in the Rackham Amphitheater

Featured speakers will include Pamela Grossman from Stanford University, Lee Shulman from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and Suzanne Wilson from Michigan State University. In addition, faculty members from the University of Michigan including Robert Bain, Hyman Bass, Tabbye Chavous Sellers, and Annemarie Sullivan Palincsar will be presenting papers on their work.
