Michigan Productions returned to the School of Education in March 2010 to produce a video segment for the Out of the Blue program, which airs on the Big 10 Network. This story focuses on one aspect of our teacher training activities, a process Magdalene Lampert terms "the cycle of enactment and investigation."

The video features Lampert, who explains the strategy underlying the activities, Hala Ghousseini, who details the process and is shown putting the cycle into action with student teachers, and Deborah Ball, who provides an overview of our teacher preparation program and how this particular activity fits into the larger context. Deborah Ball was also the subject of the second episode of the first season of Out of the Blue. Magdalene Lampert is George Herbert Mead Collegiate Professor of Education. Hala Ghousseini is a postdoctoral research fellow. Deborah Loewenberg Ball is dean of the School of Education, William H. Payne Collegiate Professor, and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor.
