Rackham International Student Fellowship and the Chia-Lun Lo Fellowship for International Students

The Rackham International Student Fellowship assists outstanding international students, particularly those who may be ineligible for other kinds of support because of citizenship. In addition the Chia-Lun Lo Fellowship assists outstanding students in Rackham programs who have earned a previous degree from a university in Taiwan. These fellowships will be awarded in a combined competition.

Any Rackham program on the Ann Arbor campus may nominate up to two international graduate students who have successfully completed one year of graduate study and are in good academic standing as a master’s or precandidate student. U.S. citizens and permanent residents are not eligible.

If programs wish to nominate one or more students eligible for the Chia-Lun Lo Fellowship, they may nominate up to three students for this combined competition.

Selection Criteria

Nominees must have a strong academic record, be making good progress toward the degree, and demonstrate outstanding academic and professional promise. Preference will be given to students who do not have other sources of funding.
