From the Dean

I am pleased that you are joining us to embark on a journey that will take you into a career as a classroom teacher, a college or university faculty member, an educational leader, a policymaker, or a researcher. You have chosen to study, conduct research, and collaborate at a professional school of education in a great public research university. Our work is founded on the fundamental belief that educational development of all people is critically important for the growth of a free, just, and productive society. Your experience, skills, and knowledge will contribute to our efforts to transform educational practice and policy through the resources we develop, the knowledge we build, and the people we prepare.

I look forward to learning with and from you during your time at the School of Education.
