Field Experience
During every semester of the teacher education program, university students spend time each week in host school classrooms. We believe that learning to teach must include first hand experiences with cooperating teachers and classroom students in a positive learning environment.
The field experience includes an educational triad comprised of a teacher candidate, cooperating teacher and field instruction. University teacher candidates are mentored in K-12 classrooms by cooperating teachers from area schools. University field instructors round out this triad by supporting the cooperating teacher / university student relationship.
