Present Position: Currently, I am continuing as a teacher consultant at WISD as I search for a job teaching at the college level.
Dissertation Topic: My interest was the social interactions of students with disabilities in inclusive classrooms. I investigated interaction between students with and without disabilities in three classrooms during lunch and recess when teacher prompts are not usually available.
Prior to coming to the SOE: I was a teacher consultant for the Washtenaw Intermediate School District here in Ann Arbor. I provided resources and support to general education classrooms that included students with low-incident disabilities.
What I Learned in the Program: My job at the ISD allowed me to work with in-service teachers. I can now teach pre-service teachers and participate in organizing and implementing teacher education programs.
