Curriculum - Blended Master of Arts in Educational Studies


We believe that master's graduates should be knowledgeable about many different aspects of education as a field of practice and inquiry. The course requirements are designed to provide a general introduction to the field, knowledge of theories that underlie different areas of practice, and discussion of critical issues within and across these areas. 

Core Courses

These courses introduce core ideas and skills, involving discussion of critical issues in teaching and learning:

Teaching and Learning and New Media and New Literacies only:

Students in the Blended MA program will take their core courses and required thread courses on campus. The 12 credit hours earned from the five web-based MicroMasters courses substitute for the remaining 12 credits of elective and cognate courses that is a part of the traditional, campus-based Master of Arts in Educational Studies.
